Marketing for UK carpet cleaners: more calls from Google Maps, Ads and your website

United KingdomCarpet & upholstery cleaners

Google's main results page shows only three businesses in the Maps pack for a search like "carpet cleaning" plus your town. If you sit at #4 to #10, most people searching never see you, however good your reviews are.

I run the website, Google Ads and Google Business Profile for Mr Expert Carpet Cleaning in Slough, and I'm now taking on carpet cleaners in other UK towns, one per area.

Two ways to start

01

Google Maps profile and reviews fix

A one-off job. I fix your Google Business Profile (categories, services, service areas, photos, posts and description), then set up a simple review request system so new reviews keep coming in after every job.

02

Google Ads clean-up with call tracking

A one-off job for cleaners already running ads. I remove wasted search terms, check locations and bids, and set up call and form tracking so you can see which jobs the ads actually bring in.

After either one, ongoing monthly work (website, service and area pages, SEO and ads) is optional.

What I do for Mr Expert Carpet Cleaning

Case study

Mr Expert Carpet Cleaning, Slough UK

I built their website from scratch, with a page for each service (carpet, sofa, mattress, rug, commercial, end of tenancy) and for each town they cover. I also run their Google Ads and Google Business Profile, and set up server-side tracking so every call and form can be measured.

This is an ongoing project. The case study has the full details.

What usually holds carpet cleaners back

  1. Too few recent reviewsIn the towns I checked, the businesses at the top of Maps often have well over 100 reviews and keep adding more.
  2. A thin Google profileMissing categories, unlisted services or an empty service area all reduce how often Google shows you.
  3. One page for everythingA single homepage can't rank for sofa cleaning, rug cleaning and five nearby towns at the same time.
  4. No trackingWithout call and form tracking you can't tell whether Google, Ads or word of mouth is bringing in the jobs.

Common questions

Do you work with carpet cleaners near Slough?

No. I already run marketing for Mr Expert Carpet Cleaning in Slough and Berkshire, so I take only one carpet cleaner per area. That way I'm never helping your direct competitor.

What is in the free audit?

A 2 to 3 page written report: where you rank on Google Maps for your main town, how your reviews and profile compare with the top 3, what your website is missing, and the three fixes I would make first. No call needed.

Can I hire you for one fix instead of a monthly plan?

Yes. There are two one-off starter jobs: a Google Business Profile and reviews fix, or a Google Ads clean-up with call and form tracking. Ongoing work is optional after that.

You're based in Pakistan. How does that work for a UK business?

I work remotely from Islamabad and run Mr Expert's marketing that way. We talk over email, WhatsApp or Google Meet, and I work UK hours.

Will you put my town or 'carpet cleaning' in my business name on Google?

No. Keyword stuffing in the business name breaks Google's guidelines and risks a suspension. I improve rankings through the profile, reviews, website and service-area pages instead.

Where do you rank in your own town?

Ask for the free written audit. I'll check your Maps position, profile, reviews and website, and send you the three fixes I'd make first.
